The short answer
A single couch falls into our minimum load tier — $99 to $149 in the Miami area. That is the whole price: labor, the truck, and disposal fees are all included, and you get a firm number before anyone touches anything.
The reason it is a range rather than one number is access. A couch sitting in an open garage is at the bottom of it; a sleeper sofa on the fourth floor of a walk-up is at the top.
What actually moves the price
A few specific things push a couch job above the minimum:
- ✓Sectionals — a three- or four-piece sectional takes up meaningfully more truck volume than a loveseat and can land in the next tier
- ✓Stairs above the third floor without elevator access
- ✓Very tight access, long carries, or doorways that require disassembly
- ✓Sleeper sofas, which are dramatically heavier than they look because of the steel frame
- ✓Adding other items — at that point volume pricing takes over and the couch stops being the deciding factor
Try the free options first
We would rather tell you this than have you overpay for something the county already covers. If you live in an eligible Miami-Dade municipality, you get two free bulky waste pickups a year, and a couch comfortably fits. You can also haul it to a Neighborhood Trash and Recycling Center yourself at no charge.
And if the couch is genuinely in good condition, donation is usually better for everyone — many local charities will collect furniture for free, and you may get a deduction out of it.

Why a couch cannot just go out with the trash
Upholstered furniture is too large for regular collection and has to be handled as bulk waste, which is a separate service on a separate schedule everywhere in South Florida. Left at the curb outside a scheduled bulk window, it typically sits there — and in many municipalities it can generate a code violation for the property owner.
